Retreat for Kids Incorporated is a registered Charity which operates, amongst other things, The Sanctuary Women Children and Pet’s refuge (“the Charity”).

This is a message of warning to all our sponsors, donors, followers and the general public.

As a charity, we rely heavily on the good will of others to offer the services we do to people who need our help. However, there are people in this world who seek to exploit this and to use such good will for their own personal gain. It is for this reason that we have developed the following guidelines for people who wish to assist the Charity in its endeavours.

For anyone who is seeking to donate to our cause or to fundraise on our behalf you must adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Our Board is the only party with the power to authorise a third party to collect donations on our behalf. This power is exercised only after a meeting of the Board and written authorisation is issued. The written authorisation must be displayed at any fundraising event held on our behalf.
2. If you are unsure as to whether a 3^rd party has our authorisation to conduct fund raising on our behalf, you should request to see the written authorisation or alternatively contact us for clarification.
3. Any written authorisation issued by the Board will generally be for a specified time period (there are exceptions to this general rule however the letter of authorisation will again address any time frames imposed);
4. The Charity’s logo can only be used in conjunction with fund raising activities operated by 3^rd parties where the Charity (through the Board) has provided written authorisation to do so.
5. The offsite collection of goods donated to the Charity will only be attended to by Simone Patterson whom carries identification confirming who she is. Anyone who has donated goods which are being collected should request to sight Simone`s identification before surrendering the goods.
6. All donations of goods made to the Charity are to be left at 72 Melaleuca Drive, Palm Beach in the State of Queensland. We advise this address is covered by 24 hour CCTV.
